Sereniteapot outdoor load limit feels very limiting it, dissuades me from trying to design further. (Even tutorial videos for beautiful builds just wall up the empty space and place a teleporter right into the build, ignoring the surrounding scenery these days except the sky. sigh)
Paimon's dialogue is too repetitive.
Please let us rewatch old cutscenes, seriously.
"Show don't tell" in storylines. Raiden's Act II story quest does not feel like it has much of an impact despite what the storyline says and what changes were in the overworld later.
I wish the game can show how many chests are left unopened and puzzles are left unsolved in a region after 100% exploration is achieved.
Three Realm Gateway quest was really fun! But I wish there was a toggle option to show/hide the treasure chest marker instead as it tends to clutter the mini map.
I wish the treasure compass when activated would show the range of activation like what the Bokuso Box did during activation.

- Trailers: Please stop making them to be misleading. I'm getting tired of scenes which look epic and suspenseful but turns out the scenario is played at a less climactic parts of the story, or they are recontextualised to be different from expectations, or just actually come from the epilogue.
- Examples:
- Itto charging through a crumbling dungeon. In the trailers it seems like he's fighting a boss in there while everything crashes to the ground, but turns out in the story it's at the end where he's trying to save his friend as everyone evacuates the dungeon that's being self-destructed.
- Ningguang said "If it comes down to it, I can always destroy another Jade Chamber" (paraphrasing), in the trailer it seems like it happened when the sea monster has resurfaced without warning, and Ning is contemplating crashing the newly built Jade Chamber to subdue this threat. Yet in the actual story, it was in the epilogue/ending where we learn that's simply her backup plan all along that thankfully never got executed. And Ning was just speeding up rebuilding the Jade Chamber to lure out Beisht anyway. (She always had plans but luring out Beisht is an incentive to do it now)
- I'm going to peg Inazuma as a last minute direction change in storytelling, but what is implied in the trailer is definitely different than what we eventually got. Kokomi, Raiden and Scaramouche while they play a role, but their role seems to be inflated in the trailers, wheareas Yae gets disproportionate amount of screen time for trailer vs actual story.
- Can we get a chance to craft the Xiao Lanterns every Lantern Rite? Even if they serve no purpose in the current event, it lines up with the festive mood, and I'd like to restock the Xiao Lanterns I've released over the year. I understand that the Lantern Rite event may not come every year in future versions as more festivities will crop up, but I at least would like to craft them for festivities sake.
- The outcry over the outfit change in China may be bothering you. I'd like you to know that even if hypothetically I'm playing in CN server and had the previous outfit permanently removed, I would still fully support your decision in order to abide by local laws. And the redesigns are pleasant, especially Jean. :)
- Euphonium:
- Option to revert back to original music (or just stop music)
- Option to cycle through multiple tracks
- Option to select music what music plays according to the time of day, including daytime, night time, sunset, sunrise.
- Add Inazuma music (take your time)
VERY IMPORTANT
!- Slow down the pace of updates if you're having trouble keeping up with developing the content. (I'm fine with an update every season aka 3 months)
- You don't have to release an archon quest every year if you can't keep up. I'm willing to wait. I rather have quality over quantity (or speed)
Priority
- Feedback hub where you show which suggestions are still being reviewed, which suggestions have been heard, which of them are being considered, which of them are in active development and which of them have been rejected (with reasoning). Kind of like how Microsoft does it. [The developer's discussion is really nice, but I always find people in comments who ask for status on feedback that have not been covered, so it's nice to get the status on those as well.]
Housing improvement suggestions:
- Toggle option: Interact to open and close doors. (Refer to Mondstadt Knight of Favonius HQ doors)
- Make outdoor furnishing, large furnishing and small furnishing be placeable both indoors and outdoors. (Let the player decide where they want to put it them.)
- Allow weather customisation. (I hope Tubby doesn't mind the occasional rainfall. Light rain is my favourite weather.)
- Allow us to fix the time in the realm. (Always XXX hour. For example, set to always 9pm.)
- Cooking equipment, but outdoors.
- Toggle advanced furniture placement: All furniture/buildings may clip with a menu to search/select placed furnishings. [Like how 3D modelling software does it with different entities?]
- Let us place furniture in the small plots of flat land in Emerald Peak and Cool Isle, especially at the peak of Emerald Peak.
- Have stairs/ladders for outdoors
- Allow us to customise Gift Set arrangement so we could make it more compact, and place it on smaller areas. (Like at the corridors, or on Letter Isle in Cool Isle
- Save mansion layouts.
- Testing dummies, for damage/heal testing purposes (show damage values on hit when set as enemy, healing values when set as ally, and is indestructable). Allow us to edit the placement, and its resistance values.
- Show exact load limit numbers for each furnishing, as well as the load limit left in each layout.
- Natural outdoor seating furniture. (Stones, branches)
- Night mode for Floating Abode.
Archive/statistics suggesions:
- Let us rewatch cinematics and fight scenes in game.
- Let us review dialogues and cinematics from major limited time events that we have participated in game. (Unreconciled Stars, Lantern Rite, Windblume)
- Sync found chests and solved puzzles with interactive map.
- Show absolute how many chests left unopened and puzzles unsolved in the region.
- Wish pity counter.
- More recorded data and statistics viewable in the archive, adventurer's handbook, or Battle Chronicle. For example: how many eggs I've cooked, how many times I've died, which character has gotten the most screen time, complete exploration stat for a certain area (chests, secrets, mini games completion, best domain completion), and so on.
UI suggestions:
- Auto switch to dark mode for initial loading screen at local night time.
- Add health bars for shields (or at least an indicator for when it's about to break.)
- Active food/potion buffs and debuffs time indicator
- Toggle off damage numbers in battle, for when we want to play in "cinematic" mode for fun.
- Elemental Skill countdown timer for off-field characters and skill countdown for your own character during aiming mode.
- Hide/show pins and waypoint toggle on map. (Easier pinning near waypoint and near pins)
- Allow copying in-game chat messages.
- View numbers on Companionship EXP counter.
Domains
- Explain leyline buff and debuff BEFORE entering domains.
- Make it clear why you "Recommend" certain elements in domains. Do you need it to light up elemental monuments? Do you need an elemental archer to shoot hard-to-reach monuments? Do you need to make ice bridges or disable traps?
- Replay temporary story and character domains without further rewards. Essential for getting some chests.
- Domain clear timer should start AFTER the challenge is started (key is interacted with.) [For artifact, talent and weapon domain]
- Enable taking pictures inside Domains (at least with Kamera, once the pause bug is fixed).
Resource management
- Make billets buyable from Paimon shop in exchange for Masterless Stardust, or at least a pity system for billets during weekly bosses. (Guarantee a billet drop every 10-15 bosses)
- Respawnable investigation points and materials respawn at daily reset instead. (Or rather, have their status updated on daily reset)
- Parametric transformer available on weekly reset, instead of cooldown. Otherwise at least a notification that its ready for use.
- Allow players to keep BP chests instead of using them immediately.
- Save custom artifact setups for easy swap between characters. (See https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/kggbru/saved_artifact_sets/)
- Crystal core, Frogs, and Fireflies from expedition or shops. (For mobile players)
- Separate mats by their rarity during foddering/enchancement: 1★ only, 2★ only, etc. Instead of '2 star & below', '3 star & below'.
- Eating more of the same food extends its buff duration instead of refreshing until it reaches a certain cap (maybe 30 minutes).
- Allow revival of dead characters currently not in the party when eating revival food.
Quest mechanism
- Add "cancel quest" feature to stop world quests from locking co-op.
- Pity system on Achievement-Related Commission, or have them obtainable using Story Keys, or have them swappable from the default commisions as seen in this post: https://www.hoyolab.com/article/292830 If not, at least have one unique commission every day which rotates.
- Auto dialog function should stop when a pop-up appears like letters, pictures and so.
- Voice act Traveler's dialogue options (and have it toggleable)
- Automatic enemy disaggro during cutscenes
Story and character development
- Hope character stories don't all boil down to dating sims. Leave that for hangouts.
- If you're adding more politics/war style conflict in the game, please think each faction's motives and actions through or the entire plot will feel flimsy and dumbed-down.
Character combat
- Have more cohesion on character's kits.
- If they scale on a unique stat, have everything scale off that. Don't branch. (Kokomi is a good example. Xinyan is a bad example (shield scaled on DEF but everything else is the normal offensive stats.)
- Consider making summons' positions adjustable after placement if they're to be placed like turrets. Example: Fischl's Oz. Bad examples: Xiangling's Guoba and Kokomi's Bake-kurage
Gameplay suggestions:
- Toggle for turning off alternate sprint.
- Let alternate sprint move over tiny obstacles, stairs and ledges which other characters have no problem sprinting over.
- Allow toggling of constellations. (Let us disable them by decreasing constellation level, and re-enable them by increasing constellation level.)
- "Lock target" option. (Let us pick targets like Z-targeting in Legend of Zelda)
- Turn off climbing during battle, or assign a key dedicated to climbing during battle. (Current auto-climb is iffy. Climbs onto random trees when I don't want to, can't climb on my Zhongli pillar when I want to.) Or implement smart climbing (see https://www.hoyolab.com/article/84400)
- Button to disable 5* Elemental Burst animation zoom in.
- Auto loot or "Loot all" button for PC. (Like tapping the screen in mobile)
- Quick party swap shortcut in mobile
Co-op and friends improvement suggestions
- Let others be able to join your overworld while the host is in teapot, and let the host enter their teapot while others are in the overworld.
- Invite players to your World.
- While exploring or in combat in the open world, allow party members in Coop to ping and show certain areas of the map to draw attention to it. (preferably with optional quick message)
- Additional quick message options for co-op chat. Such as "Heal me", "Run away", "Leave it to me".
- Additional Co-Op restriction: Friend-only join request.
- Co-op join other worlds panel: search players by the text on their signatures, or enable a self-assign tag to ask for help.
- Offline mode, to appear as offline for friends.
- Auto block co-op mode during cutscenes. (All cutscenes)
-Ability to message strangers (non-friends) before joining their world, add ability to block non-friend messages.
- More character voice over when other party members are at low health please! I love them. Also good for signalling healers.
Misc.
- Paimon as default/free compaion that follows you like a Seelie!
- Have a chance for playable characters to appear in the overworld outside of events.
- Let us gift characters during their birthdays, or allow me to gift characters during my birthday! I shouldn't be alone in receiving cake on my birthday, nor should I give nothing back when others have been giving me stuff on their birthdays...
