Once upon a cookie, I- comic studio visitor Icestar831- went to visit the Merrybear Toy Shop, which as we all know is a popular shop full of different kinds of toys!
Me, being the sometimes immature person I am, decided to go check it out and admire the toys. So I went inside, being greeted by Lollipop Cookie- or better known as Demonpop Cookie because in this story she’s a demon.
“Welcome in!” she said, locking the doors behind me as I walked in. However, I didn’t notice at the moment.
“Oh, um… hi!” I said, startled by the sudden appearance of the child. “I heard about the Merrybear Toy Shop and just came to visit, but it seems a lot emptier in here than I thought…”
Demonpop decided to show me some of the toys, ignoring my second remark.
“Like what you see? I made all of them, all myself!” Demonpop chuckled, seeming genuinely happy.
“It’s cool that you made all of those toys yourself, especially since you’re a little kid!” I replied, trying to compliment her.
Demonpop’s response was to throw a tantrum.
“I AM NOT A KID! I AM NOT A KID I AM NOT A KID, YOU UNDERSTAND?!” Demonpop screamed.
“Wow- ok, ok! I’m sorry I called you a little kid, I won’t do it again! Just, calm down, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” I replied.
Demonpop sighed.
”I’ll let it go… this time.” Demonpop said.
“T-Thank you… um…” I replied. “…so, what kinds of different toys are here?”
Demonpop lit up as I asked the question, and showed me a bunch of the toys. Dolls, action figures, toy cars, building blocks… there were just so many to look at!
“Wow, good job! It IS amazing that you made these all yourself.” I said, making sure not to point out that Demonpop was a child again.
”Oh! I’ll be right back! I have something to show you! Wait right here!” Demonpop said, running to the back of the store.
Meanwhile, I looked at all of the dolls. Some of them seemed cookie-like. TOO cookie-like.
”Qué?” I asked myself.
And then it hit me. Demonpop didn’t just make toys from scratch… she also made cookies into toys!
”You’ll never see the light again, you’ll become a toy and that’s it! This was my plan all along!” Demonpop said.
I turned around to see a version of Demonpop with sharp claws, sharper teeth, and a creepy grin on her face.
Demonpop pushed me onto a large, empty shelf, and under it was a button that said “Turn into a doll”. She began to laugh maniacally, and shouted, “I WIN!”
But because Demonpop is a child, I kicked my way out before she pressed the button and raced towards the exit of the store. Demonpop chased after me- but she tripped and fell instead.
I tried to open the door, but Demonpop locked it at the beginning of the roleplay- and I didn’t have a key to unlock it. Dun dun dunnn!
So instead, I ran around aimlessly and then found a metal chute that I could conveniently fit into. I went down the chute and landed in an abandoned toy factory.
I explored the area, finding broken toys littering the floor and rusty machinery all around me. A few questions entered my mind as I walked down an empty hallway.
Was this where Merrybear Toy Shop products used to be made? What caused this factory to become abandoned? Did Demonpop own this factory?
What I did know is that the whole place gave me the creeps, and I needed to find a way out of the building.
“Man, this feels so much like a horror game!” I said to myself. “I have so many questions about this place… but what I do know is that I need to find a way out of here. Maybe there’s another exit, or a key to unlock the original door.”
Merrybear Toy Shop? More like SCARYbear Toy Shop! Ahahahahajsbdvbsbs yeah my humor is the worst.
So I walked around the abandoned factory, unaware that Demonpop soon followed me… and soon, we were face to face once more.
“I was not expecting you to be here. But now, I can turn you into my next victim.” Demonpop said, laughing ominously. “You’ll be my greatest creation… a perfect doll for me to play with, forever!”
”NOOO! I’m not just some toy!” I replied, backing away from Demonpop.
“You don’t get it. I was made this way. I am pure evil. I can only cause suffering and pain. You think your just a perfect little angel that can’t be turned into my greatest creation? You will suffer. You will suffer the pain I have had to go through. You will become a doll. You will not be free.” Demonpop said. “Come with me. You cannot leave.”
”Even if you’re a demon, you don’t have to do bad things! I don’t know what pain you went through, but you don’t have to do this!” I said. “I’m not a perfect angel, but I will NOT become your doll either… no matter how hard you try.”
Demonpop didn’t like that…
She became much taller, scarier, and dangerous. I ran down the hallway to try and get away- and soon I dove into a pile of stuffed toys, which covered a hole in the wall that led to a different room. After I went through the hole, I managed to get Demonpop off my tail.
”You think you can hide forever? I will take my time if I must, little one. I will turn you into my greatest achievement… eventually.” Demonpop said.
Then, she walked away to look for me somewhere else. I had stayed perfectly still until she left, and then looked around the room I had ended up in.
In the room were more toys- most of them were dolls and stuffed animals, but this time none of the toys were broken. They seemed innocent enough, but they had a creepy vibe to them. They seemed to stare into my soul.
I looked at them, unnerved by the staring. I waved at them, not wanting to make too much noise.
They continued to stare. They were judging me.
I hesitantly walked across the room, saying goodbye to the creepy toys. But the room felt endless. There seemed to be no doors or windows to leave from- just toys staring at me. And staring. And staring. And staring…
Soon, I reached the end of the room. There was a small golden key- and also a small keyhole to a trapdoor in the wall, covered by a painting that I soon moved out of the way.
The toys seemed to have a meaner vibe to them now that I saw the key, as if they didn’t want me to take it. Even though I noticed this, I apologized to the toys and hesitantly took the key anyways.
As I grabbed the key and put it in the lock, the feeling of the toys being alive changed to them being… well, NOT alive. Their eyes seemed to be completely dead and empty.
I turned the key in the keyhole, unlocking the trapdoor, and then slowly opened it. The room was completely silent, the noises from the key and my breathing being the only things audible.
So, I went into the trapdoor- it led to a ladder for me to climb down. As I went down the ladder, tightening my grip so I wouldn’t fall, someone could be heard singing a chant of some sort. It grew louder the deeper down I went… and it felt like someone was watching me climb down.
It made me feel uneasy, but I pressed on. The singing grew louder and louder, until I could hear it perfectly. And then, something grabbed me! I couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but it had dark red eyes and a wide smile, revealing lots of sharp teeth.
”MUAHAHAHA! I FOUND YOU, ICE!” it laughed, grabbing me with cold hands and throwing me into a wall. It revealed that it had even sharper claws, and attempted to attack me- but I ducked right in time, barely avoiding the attack.
”Who are you-?! Are you working with Demonpop?! Don’t hurt me!” I said.
The demon creature grabbed me and pulled me into more darkness, laughing at my misery.
”I DO NOT WORK FOR SOME TINY TOY SHOP OWNER! But now, you are in my dungeon- have fun in my grip, you will never leave here alive!”
“NO! This CAN’T be how it ends, I…!” I began, trying to pull myself away from the monster.
Then, I saw something. A toy sword- it wasn’t much, but it was the only thing I could use to defend myself. And it felt like it beckoned me to take it.
“AHHAHA! YOU CAN TRY TO GET OUT, BUT YOU WON’T MAKE IT OUT ALIVE, OR WHOLE!” the creature laughed, continuing to drag me into the dark.
I tried to pull away from it, and barely managed to grab the sword. Now, holding it tight, I slashed at the demon, and if cried out in pain!
“The sword… worked?” I thought to myself.
The demon tried to grab the sword, but I twirled my arm around and scraped it’s hand.
“YOU’RE DONE.” the demon said, pulling it’s hand away and backing up. “BE PREPARED TO DIE!”
It flew in the air, and sent out a ball of energy to hit me, but I moved out of the way- and with tennis physics, I knocked it away and sent it back at the demon.
The ball made a direct hit, and it killed the demon. The body fell onto the floor, and I stared at it for a moment.
”I’m sorry, demon, but… I guess I HAD to do that…” I muttered.
The body turned into dust, and most of the darkness in the room disappeared. It seemed that the demon was responsible for the room being so dark before.
My surroundings were old and ruined- there were lots of cracks and holes in the walls and floor, but there was also a now open door that led to a dark alleyway. Above it was one of those signs in buildings that said “Exit”.
”Wow… why the heck is there an alleyway inside a toy store…?” I asked myself.
So, I hesitantly walked through the door, gripping my sword and staying cautious. In the alleyway, I found a dumpster full of trash bags… and one singular doll, looking right at me.
”Oh… hi, little doll…” I said, not expecting a reply.
The doll’s head turned towards me, and it gave me a death stare with it’s hollow eyes… and a wide, twisted smile.
“Um… I-I think I’d better continue finding my way out of here. Bye!” I said, speed-walking away.
As I left, I could hear the doll start laughing… and saying I would become a toy. Maybe it was a speaker for Demonpop…
Eventually, I ended up finding an empty street. Someone was on the other side- Demonpop. She had found me. I blinked, and then she disappeared… and appeared behind me instead.
”Hehe… Ice… I GOT YOU!” she laughed.
My only instinct was to run away, and so, I did that. Demonpop chased after me, having become faster than before, and soon she caught up to me, grabbing my arm with an almost painfully tight grip. Then, she knocked me down and grabbed my neck.
“ICE, I HAVE YOU, AND YOU WILL DIE IF I SAY SO! I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT WITH YOU!! YOU. WILL. LISTEN. TO. ME. DO YOU UNDERSTAND, ICE?!? OR DO I NEED TO RIP OFF YOUR HEAD?” Demonpop yelled, determined to capture me.
”NO! LET ME GO!” I replied, slicing her with my sword.
She let go of me and stumbled backwards for a moment.
“Hahaha… you think you can beat me? YOU’RE NO MATCH FOR ME! I WILL MAKE YOU INTO MY TOY- YOU CANNOT ESCAPE ME!” she yelled.
Suddenly, a dark red aura formed around Demonpop, and her eyes turned pure red. She cackled, staring me right in the eyes, degrading me and saying I could never escape.
Even though the odds were against me, I readied my toy sword and hoped for the best.
Demonpop’s eyes were now a deep, dark red, and a big red flame aura surrounded her whole body. She was growing even bigger than before- and soon, she became a giant.
She spit fire at me, which I somehow managed to avoid. Demonpop then charged at me, with huge sharp claws having come out of her hands., Her sinister, sadistic laugh echoed around the area as she did so.
The claws clashed with the wooden blade, each pushing each other, as I tried to block the attack. But because the sword was only a toy, Demonpop pushed me down and damaged the sword.
”I WILL have my toy, even if I have to rip you apart to get it!” the demon said, her claws now scratching against the floor as she got even closer to me.
”No! I’ll never give up- I get to decide what to do with my own life!” I said.
As you probably realized by now, Roleplay Ice acts like a stupid generic protagonist.
“No, no, no… now, I get to decide what to do with your life. Your fate was sealed when you walked inside the toy shop.” Demonpop said, her claws poking my cheek and threatening to cut it.
Her guard seemed to be at least a little bit down, so I attacked her with my sword- and the attack worked!
She tried to slash at me with her claws again, and in turn, I blocked the attack with the sword. Then, I attacked with the sword several times, each dealing more damage than the last. But the sword fell out of my hands.
Demonpop fell backwards, too, but remained confident.
”You think YOU have luck? Well, nobody’s had luck like THIS before, but it won’t change anything!” Demonpop continued. “Aha… AHAHA! AHAHAAAAAA-“
Suddenly, Demonpop just dropped onto the ground, dead.
”Did… did she die?” I asked, despite being all alone in the building now.
Demonpop’s body turned into dust, like the last demon’s did. That answered the question- she was, in fact, dead. But… there was no clear cause of death. The sword did deal damage, but it certainly didn’t do enough to kill her.
But whatever the mysterious reason for her sudden death was, it saved me. Now it was only me in the building… I looked at the sword, which was sitting on the floor, on top of some of the dust.
….
I picked up the toy sword, despite it being quite damaged by Demonpop’s claws.
As I picked it up, I could feel a strange energy coming from it for just a moment. All of a sudden, there was a flash of a light, and the wooden toy sword had transformed into… A REAL SWORD!
The sword was not only completely healed, but it was now a beautiful silver, and had a purple hilt. The blade was extremely sharp, and could deal damage to almost anything now. The sword still had a slight glow to it.
I looked up at my surroundings once more- the building was now properly lit up, and I noticed another door on the other side of the street. I walked to the door, gently opened it, and went through.
I ended up in another alleyway- but this time, it was a real alleyway. People could be heard talking and walking by- I was back in the real world, and outside of the mysterious toy shop.
I walked out of the alleyway, and found that it was next to the toy store’s front doors. The shop was closed- and a sign was placed on the doors that said, “TOY STORE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE! BEWARE OF “DEMONPOP!” IT IS A THREAT TO YOUR LIFE!!”
“Hmm… I wonder who put this here…” I muttered. “Wait, what happened to those people that Demonpop turned into toys?!”
Then, an idea hit me. There was a storage shed in between the toy shop, and the alleyway. Maybe some of them were in there!
So, I broke into the shed. Inside were the dolls that eerily looked like real people. They were all asleep at first, but then, one of them opened their eyes.
”H… HELP ME! I’M BEGGING YOU, GET ME OUT OF HERE! I AM ALIVE, AND I WANT OUT!” the doll spoke.
Soon, the other dolls opened their eyes and begged to get out, too. I was shocked by this, but agreed to take them all with me.
I didn’t know what to do next, so I ran to the police station and presented the dolls- and their resemblance to missing people they were looking for. I told the officers about the horror adventure I had in the toy store, and surprisingly, they believed me.
“If what you said is true, we need to get these people back to their true selves…” one of the officers said.
“Yes, we should…” I replied. “And, um, when the toy sword I found turned into a real sword, it also led me out of the building… maybe it can still help us?”
I held up the sword, but then it flew up into the air… and with a flash of light, the dolls were turned back into cookies! The people all celebrated and cried, happy to be back to normal.
Soon, me and the group of police officers broke into the toy shop, and with the sword’s strange magic, turned the dolls back into people.
The police officers thanked me for telling them about Demonpop’s horrible deeds. The city rejoiced at the return of the missing cookies- and the victims finally returned home. They were now safe from Demonpop.
Now, it was time for me to go home, too. It had been a long, perilous day, but I survived. And I got a cool new sword.
The death trap that was the Merrybear Toy Shop in this roleplay would end up being searched and closed down, and an article about it in the news would be published.
And it was all thanks to the sheer amount of luck I had during this whole experience, heh…
The end!
hoo boy this was so long
